Ocean and Boats
Simulator

A living sea and boats that really float. The ocean runs from flat calm to hurricane with the wind, waves break over the shallows, and every boat floats, rolls, planes and steers from the shape of its own hull, with a real helm, wake, spray and foam. Four ready-made boats, three example maps, and your own boat from FBX files.

WHY IT STANDS OUT

A sea you can
feel at the helm.

Drop the ocean in your level, place a boat and press Play. Everything on this page is in the box.

Yacht support vessel. Fifty-three metres, heading for the island

01 / THE OCEAN

A sea that follows the wind.

From flat calm to hurricane with the wind: swells, sea areas, rogue waves and five named wave forms. The same wave maths runs on the GPU for the picture and on the CPU for the physics, so what you see is what the boat feels.

  • Beaufort 0-12 and beyond, swell and wind sea together
  • Sea areas and rogue waves
  • Shallow water: waves shoal, steepen and break over bars and beaches
Centre console. Twin outboards at speed, her wake through a moderate sea

02 / THE BOATS

Boats that float from their own hull.

Per-triangle buoyancy, slamming, drag and planing lift on a simple buoyancy hull: every boat floats, rolls, pitches, planes and steers from its own shape.

  • Propellers, outboards, pods, tunnel thrusters and trim tabs
  • Levers or telegraph, wheel and autopilot
  • Fuel load that changes trim and draught
Power catamaran. Under way off the island

03 / ON THE WATER

Wake, spray and foam.

Every hull leaves its wake, throws spray, washes along its sides and whitens the crests around it.

  • Wake and hull wash from every hull
  • Spray on slamming and planing
  • Whitecap foam with the wind
Hard turn. The hull banks and carves its wake

04 / YOUR FLEET

Four boats, and yours.

A centre console, a planing yacht, a yacht support vessel and a power catamaran. Options and versions (Standard, Pro, Max) are components you tag in a Blueprint of NA Boat: the configurator and the shipyard pick them up by themselves. Your own boat is built from your FBX files by an import tool.

  • Options and versions by tagging components
  • Take Helm / Leave Helm: a character boards any boat in your level
  • A Niagara exhaust hook (engine load, rpm, speed) for your own smoke
On the plane. The planing yacht in a moderate sea

05 / YOUR MAPS

Your own seas and harbours.

Maps come from a data table of places. The NA Map Setup actor charts the sea floor in one click (chart, echo sounder, radar, shoaling waves) and writes the map's row.

  • One-click sea-floor chart for any level
  • Per-map loading screens
  • Places listed in one data table
Work deck and bridge. A long work deck and a bridge with a view all round

06 / AT THE HELM

An interface you can make yours.

A multifunction helm display, a boat picker and a wave tank with live measurements. Themes restyle it; every menu entry and HUD page can be switched off or replaced by your own.

  • Day, Night and High Contrast themes
  • Water colour, clarity and foam sliders in the pause menu
  • Seven languages; every exposed property has a tooltip
  • Sound from one data table, every event easy to replace
